This short mast is located in the centre of the Clatterbridge Health Park complex and is used to transmit Radio Clatterbridge, the hospital radio station, on 1386 kHz. The mast can be found inside a compound / loading area, adjacent to the radio studio. Despite radiating at only 1 watt, coverage is relatively good due to the flat terrain around the Wirral and Merseyside. Reception is reasonable across the Mersey in Liverpool city centre, and 10+ miles away.

The mast is a 10-meter high fibreglass pole complete with top hat. This
type of MF antenna is used at several other Hospital Radio Stations.

The studio next to the mast. The studio is also used for the online-only station Arrowe Sound, for Arrowe Park Hospital, one junction further up the M53 near Birkenhead.

Shot of the entrance to the compound, the studios are immediately to the right of shot, with Clare House hospice opposite the gates. Men were working in the compound at the time, so I decided against venturing inside.
