April 2026

This is a relay for BFBS Gurkha Radio, located inside Beaconside Barracks on the outskirts of Stafford. The installation is visible from Beaconside road. I have no idea when it started, but it's been on for a long time. Ofcom params says the power is 0.04 watts, but I can just about recieve the station at my parents about 7 miles away.

Harrier GR3 jet and the MW pole behind.

Looks like a Radica installation, with the white pole and 'hat'.

I assume the dish might be some sort of feed?
