Show historic services

This is the Leamington Spa Relay, located on the Campion Hills overlooking the golf course, as you can see from the first photo Leamington relays UHF TV signals to parts of Leamington Spa and Warwick which can't receive good pictures from the main station at Sutton Coldfield or the Lark Stoke relay station.

It also picks up the 97.0 MHz FM signal from ILR Coventry (Mercia FM) and re-transmits it on 102.9 MHz to Leamington, Warwick and surrounding areas, including parts of Kenilworth.

The Leamington Spa relay was originally an IBA landlord site built to provide UHF television to about 8400 people.

Mark Carver (April 2010):

Nothing of note, except since the last pictures taken as seen on mb21, there are now two logs looking at Sutton Coldfield (in addition to the trough) and graffiti on a GSM panel!

Band 3 DAB yagis at the top.

Two slant polarised, 3-element, band II transmit yagis.

Twin UHF log periodic receive aerials.
