The Whitby relay of Coast and County Radio entered service in October 2021. Passing through the area one Saturday in February I decided to see if I could find the broadcast aerial. At first nothing stood out as the football ground hosts many different aerials, but as I drove down Upgang Lane I noticed a white dipole on one of the floodlights which had not been there previously. Interestingly, the 105.5 service was not transmitting RDS when I visited. Perhaps they are waiting to turn on the 106.7 relay at Ravenscar before linking all three signals together?
