Earlier Photos and DSO Update

The original structure at Winshill was a 14m wooden pole. DSO was on the 7th and 21st September 2011.

Above and below: two panoramas of the Winshill site and its service area. Here you can see how the hill screens the houses from Sutton coldfield. You can also see the site named "Burton" where Centre FM, now Touch Radio, is transmitted from (marked with red line).

Below: Rob returned to the site in early 2012 and writes:

"Just a one shot update of Winshill showing the modifications for DSO. Very little has in fact changed, just the usual addition of a satellite dish for remote monitoring and the new dual standard cabinet."

Sunset at Winshill, taken by Rob, summer 2014.

Winshill was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 22-Nov-1985. It was built to serve about 600 people in the north-east of the Winshill district of Burton-upon-Trent near the Recreation Ground.
