The Montrose Academy transmitter was installed after being transferred from Montrose Royal Infirmary which closed in April 2018. This is one of Radio North Angus's RSL licences that are covering most of the local schools in the Angus region. There is also a studio here for students to use.

The transmit aerial is on the right side of this picture, with a TV receive antenna in the centre pointed towards Durris and the grain tower in the back providing most mobile coverage to the town.

The transmitter is housed in the building below the antenna that I have been informed is a plant room for a lift system.

Close up of the TX antenna.

Drone Shot showing the antenna and the enclosure building below. And a few hidden point to point links hidden on the roof as well.

Photo of the skyline showing the terrain towards the south of the school. Also to note is the slight dip shown on the left where the school lays lower than the rest of the town.
