Former Radio Suffolk Tx site in Lowestoft

This was the original Lowestoft TX site for Radio Suffolk from 28-Jan-1991 until 12-Mar-2003, when a new higher power transmitter was commissioned about a mile to the west at Oulton.

At 33m above sea level, this is the highest point along the Suffolk and Norfolk coast for many miles, including all of nearby Great Yarmouth.

I don't believe that the Radio Suffolk transmit aerials are still in situ on the tower.

However, a west pointing band II Yagi still resides on this building. Likely to have been used to receive network RDS data from Tacolneston as this site was line fed.
