Perry Beeches is located right next to the M6 motorway. When driving past on the elevated section you can see the aerials poking above the parapet on the north side.

As chance would have it, Perry Beeches was the 1000th UHF tv relay transmitting station to be completed, but its thunder was stolen when it was decided that the Darley Dale relay would be a much more picturesque location to hold a celebration. Perry Beeches thus holds the honour to be the 1001st station to come into service.
