It took a while to find the right block of flats with the transmitter on it which is Rayner Tower. The broadcast aerial is facing west back towards the bridge itself. Saw some aerials that were only 500m away pointing towards Walthamstow North (which probably opened first?) [Ed] Correct. Walthamstow North opened in July 1979. Lea Bridge in April 1981 to serve about 1400 people. Channel 4 was added on 26-Sep-1986 at Lea Bridge.
