Frazer commented: "This is the Micklefield transmitter just outside High Wycombe, Bucks. I'm not sure why it's called Micklefield because it's actually located in Gomms Wood, further up. It's not very tall as you can easily not realise it's there unless you stop off on the narrow road and actually look for it like I did."




Micklefield was once a wooden pole. Planning permission for the tower was granted late in 1998 as part of a site share with Vodafone. The compound seems rather spacious - perhaps provision was made for other users?


Frazer's photo shows the pre-DSO arrangements, with a single log for receive


For DSO the receive antenna has been replaced by a Sira panel. No change on transmit




This nearly-new enclosure also seems likely to have been put in place for DSO
