The public footpath was a very hard climb on damp grass. The former quarry that adjoins the site is now an off-road bike track.

Originally an IBA landlord site TV channels 1 - 3 entered service on 21st June 1974, with Channel 4 from June 1985. The UHF cylinder contains a south-east facing cardioid. DSO was on the 4th November and 2nd December 2009.

A curious stayed mast to the NE of the site.
