Comments: Ripponden is a relay of Emley Moor

Originally an IBA landlord site, TV channels 1 - 3 entered service on 8th August 1975, with Channel 4 from June 1985. DSO was on 7th and 21st September 2011.

Lee Goulding was the first the visit the site:

A grey day in West Yorkshire I'm afraid! The main picture shows the tower which is on the eastern side of the Ryburn Valley to which it provides television and mobile 'phone signals. A little over half way up you can see the trough aerial which points at Emley Moor.

Paul Martin visited in far more favourable conditions in July 2011
