Up close and personal!


Top to bottom: Interim DTT muxes C & D, FM & DAB radio (interleaved) and Interim DTT muxes 1, 2, A & B.

Not easy to see under any circumstance, but visible in this photo: the two additional mixed pol aerials, one above and one below the main aperture, and used for 99.5 MHz only (Radio 1).

They are on the south east face of the mast only, (the right hand face in the photo above) and are take the form of flat "X"s, not arrowheads.

They serve to create a power reduction in the direction (roughly) of Weymouth and thence (more importantly) Caen Mont Pincon which uses 99.6 MHz for France Inter.








The smaller, self-supporting tower at Wenvoe has no broadcast services as far as I know.
