Show historic services

Pontypridd UHF was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service with BBC 2 on 16-Oct-1967 to serve 29,000 people. BBC 1 & ITV were added on 28-Apr-1972, with S4C available from the 1-Nov-1982 launch. DSO was on 3rd & 31st March 2010.

Below: February 2011.

Wayne Brewer writes "The only obvious result of the DSO work is the removal of some antennas".

As a footnote: it has been pointed out that this site was on RFS's published list of those places where a replacement cylinder was due to be installed. However, Wayne's next two detailed images seem to suggest that the old cylinder is still in place, judging by the marks (algae?) visible, particularly in the second photo below.

Below: finally, two photos from Anthony again showing the view from the site.
