| Over July and August 2011 Babcock Networks undertook major antenna works on the new Divis B transmitter. As of August 20th all works were complete including S1 main antenna and wrap around S2 reserve antenna. A planning document confirmed a 4 tier band III array was to be included for DAB services this is as yet hasn't taken place. A source within Arqiva confirmed that discussions were taking place on the viability of moving the band II array to the the new mast as a temporary measure. It is not indicated if new work will occur on the current mast, new cable trays and trunking have been re-routed to the new mast and new two storey building as has new temporary buildings and a generator been constructed. Some services it appears have moved to the new mast but this cannot be confirmed. |
