INNERLEITHEN

Photos by David Neale, Ian Chalmers and Jim Barton Page last updated: 2021-12-28

Earlier pictures

Innerleithen was originally an IBA landlord site, which commenced UHF TV transmissions on the 8th August 1975. Channel 4 was added in September 1984. DSO was on 6th and 20th November 2008. BBC FM radio was added during November 1981, with Radio's 1 & 4 from the 20th January 1993.

Finally, here is a photo of Innerleithen taken in 2008 by Jim Barton (used with his permission from geograph.co.uk).

(research by mb21 contributor Jim)

Note the single log periodic Band 2 aerial looking towards Peebles with the new set of 2 phased 18 element yagis above it as the DTT RBL feed. They have been upgraded from log-periodics which presumably must have been too marginal for the post-DSO feed.
