New UHF receive aerial - June 2023

The upper UHF receive trough aerial was replaced at Bath in July 2018 ahead of 700 MHz band clearance at the parent station Mendip.

The upper UHF trough has been replaced with this panel aerial.

Looks like the UHF cylinder has been painted since Martin Watkins visited in 2009. Below is the interleaved
band II and band III panels. In this picture the east facing panel is on the left and the north on the right.

Further round and the west facing panels are on the left and the south on the right. You will notice that there are two tiers of band II panels facing west and that there are no band III dipoles on the south facing panel.

Band II receive aerials. The log periodic on Wenvoe and the redundant 4 element Yagi on Mendip.

On the smaller tower the two redundant band II logs facing Oxford are still in situ.
