Show historic services

February 2008

The Linnet Valley TX was pretty easy to get to, it's right next to Westley Lane, and at the intersection of two fields.

As you can see from the close-ups, there are two VP transmission logs both pointing in exactly the same direction, with one HP receive log, aimed at Tacolneston (which must provide a better signal here than Sudbury).

The coverage area is a small chunk of the western part of Bury St. Edmunds between the A1302 and A143 where reception of other transmissions appears to be somewhat difficult. Driving through the target area it was obvious that the station is well-used.

Linnet Valley was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service on 6-Dec-1984 to serve a population of about 1650.
