Comments: Abercraf is a relay of Carmel

Show historic services

Abercraf was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 3-Sep-1976 to serve 2,400 people. S4C was available from the launch on 1-Nov-1982. DSO was on the 26th August and 23rd September 2009.

David Neale: I spent a weekend in South Wales and went back to the waterfall, so I got some better site shots for you of the Abercraf relay.

I give advice to any budding mast spotter within this area to visit the nearby Henrhyd Falls.
A fantastic waterfall within less than a mile from the transmitter site.

Since David was there it would seem that someon'e been using the signage for target practice.

Receive log periodic pointing at Carmel on the left, above the SHF antenna.
