Comments: Pencader is a relay of Presely. Pre B700 allocations: 23/26/29.

The Pencader UHF relay is located to the North-North-East of the town of the same name.

There is a footpath across the field past the site, and an access track to the side of this Tx. I choose the footpath first, but quickly had to jimmy over the fence rather sharpish - some very angry rams soon saw to that! Hmmmm... got me thinking of new film titles.... "Ewe go mad", "Sheep on a plane", "Shawn of the dead"... anyway.... I used the access track.

Pencader was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 7th September 1979. S4C was available from the November 1982 launch.

Corporate branding seems to have gone somewhat astray here.

The TX provides broadcasts to the area from a 4 cardoid stack at the very top of the tower. RX is achieved by a single log periodic.
