Comments: Cwrtnewydd is a relay of Blaenplwyf

Tucked away in the corner of a field right beside a road is the Tx that serves this small Welsh village. It's a simple 10m tower with a 4 cardoid stack at the top for transmitting and a single log periodic for reception of the parent station.

I can't help thinking how new that cardiod Tx stack looks compared to the rest of the installation - mb. Cwrtnewydd was originally a CTI landlord site which entered service in the mid 1990's.

This site is now included in the Update List for the following reason:
UHF tx replacement aerial April 2018 in preparation for B700.
