L-y-I is another site where there used to be a 17m wooden pole but with the advent of cellphones it has been upgraded to this stayed mast. Originally a BBC landlord site, Llanarmon-yn-Ial entered service during July 1981 to serve 750 people. S4C was available from the launch on 1-Nov-1982.

Two tiers of crossed log periodics for transmit. They are pointing roughly southwest and northwest.

Right, the remains of the original wooden pole.
