THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

SEAHAM

Photos by Dan Glover Page last updated: 2022-03-09

September 2010

Visited late evening in mid-September 2010. According to the Site Data file this was once a triangular tower so it appears the structure was replaced at some point...

Seaham entered service in June 1980 with Channel 4 added in November 1985.

The tx logs aren't really visible but we can just see the rx log pointing in the direction of the setting sun.

The site is just alongside the A19 and clearly well used by site sharers.

Transmission is from four pairs of crossed logs. By my reckoning the target area is north east from the site.

Here is the rx log.

This seems to be the original building on the site. Yes, it's the moon just visible above the adjacent cabin.

This is presumably the base of the original triangular tower, before the site was expanded.
