New UHF transmit aerial - August 2022

The UHF transmit aerial was replaced at Machynlleth in April 2018 ahead on 700 MHz band clearance which was implemented on 31-Oct-2018.


The three structures which form the Machynlleth transmitting station.


The TV and DAB transmitting tower.




The new UHF transmit panel aerials, with the DAB dipoles above. The panels on the right face the town of Machynlleth, while those on the left are pointing southwest along the Dovey Valley.


The band II Lindenblad array used to transmit BBC FM radio unchanged.


The FM radio receive pole with the town of Machynlleth in the distance.
