| It's September 2005 and the Mendip mast is at last being given a fresh coat of paint or three. 80% of the work will be carried out this year, weather permitting, with the remaining work completed in 2006. For the final stages of the work temporary aerials will be needed on the site or on other parts of the mast. Something like 4.500 litres of paint will have been applied by the time the project is completed. Here's what the mast looked like with most of the old paintwork removed by powerwashing at "5000 lb per square inch" (whatever they are) |
