Hide historic services

This small, unassuming tower is located at Sheerhatch Wood, near Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire.

No broadcast services have been radiated from this site since its BBC1 VHF 405-line service (on Band III, channel 10) closed down on 8th October 1982. It was referred to by the BBC simply as 'Bedford' and entered service on 20th November 1967.

Despite having previously been a BBC transmitter site it is now owned by Arqiva (formerly ntl).
