TOMICH
| Photos by Allan Poole | Page last updated: 2021-09-13 |
| This is a split site with the mast located approx 100m up the slope from the equipment cabin. Another unusual feature is the use of stays on a relatively short structure. Allan notes that these were originally anchored directly into the ground but are now fixed to concrete blocks. Tomich was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 29-Aug-1986. It was built to serve about 250 people in Cannich and south-west along Strath Glass for about 2 miles beyond Tomich. |

| Antenna Post DSO works 20/11/2011. Transmission is from the 4+2 arrangement of logs at the top of the structure, with the two yagis receiving the nearby Tomich Link. The VSAT dish is for telemetry purposes and was added for DSO, as with a number of sites |
