Port Ellen Band I

Port Ellen originally only had Band I TV, EP7/506 transposer off Campbeltown. This went into service on VHF channel 2, late 68 / early 69, and was closed on 5th October 1982. The current 30m tower was installed for UHF TV and FM radio in 1980.
