DALIBURGH

Photos by Martin Briscoe Page last updated: 2024-01-10

2002 and 2004

Daliburgh transmits both TV and band II FM radio. Both are fed from Clettraval, and UHF TV in turn feeds Bruernish, Kilbride, which in turn feeds Borve.

Daliburgh was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service with 3 UHF TV channels in December 1979 to serve 1,100 people. Channel 4 was added on 5-Sep-1986, with FM radio from 23-Jan-1994.

The first set of photos dates from 2002

The tv receive logs are just below the platform. Band II transmit uses a three-sided arrangement as there's "nothing" to serve in the other direction

Editor's note: the "track" is to a very high standard - it turns out that it serves a cemetery just past the site

The next three photos show the site in context and are from 2004
