ILFRACOMBE

Photos by Steve Godfrey Page last updated: 2019-06-10

Earlier Photos

Here are the photos of the Ilfracombe mast grounds. Sorry it was a bit misty the day we went out mast hunting. Typical.

Originally an IBA landlord site, TV channels 1 - 3 entered service on 27th August 1976, as a relay of Caradon Hill. Site number 131.12. The UHF cylinder contains an east facing cardioid. Channel 4 was added during February 1984. ITV & Ch4 were changed to relay Huntshaw Cross around 1993/4. BBC 1 & 2 were also changed to Huntshaw Cross on 24th November 2008, ahead of DSO, which was on 1st and 29th July 2009.

ILR North Devon (Lantern) was added in December 2002.
