DAB added - March 2017

The update list called for photos of the DAB installation. While in the area I thought I'd take a visit.






BBC DAB in service August 2015 at 300 watts. Digital One in service August 2016.




FM is just 10 watts from here. As well as covering Whalley, transmissions from this site also cover Clitheroe.


All the feeds into Whalley. The dish for BBC and D1, the trough looking at Winter Hill, and the FM log looking at Pendle Forest.


I don't think Holme Moss would be a problem here, if it weren't for the fact that Whalley transmits 0.3MHz away from Holme Moss' frequencies.


The DAB cabin. This would have been the grassy piece of land in the 2012 pictures from Dan.
