DAB added - May 2018

The BBC National DAB multiplex was added at Chard on the 11th December 2014.

The site is about 2 miles east of Chard beside the A30.

Two tiers of band III dipoles for DAB transmit have been added on a cantilever pole at the top. Ofcom data indicates they radiate a cardioid polar response towards the northwest.

The band II FM radio receive aerials. The log periodic points towards Wenvoe. The 4 element Yagi towards North Hessary Tor and was used to provide the programme feed for Radio 1 when Radio 1 had separate national evening programmes.
