The Update List encouraged me to visit in search of DAB antennas. But where are they? DAB service dates: Digital One, 15th May 2001; Yorkshire, 8th May 2003; BBC, 18th September 2003. |
Nothing really visible from this side. The BBC national FM services come from the lower array and are just 10W ERP according to Ofcom data. Everyone else uses higher power and the directional array below the cylinder |
Not convinced there's anything visible from here either. |
There again that small dipole below the Band II panel might be a possibility. The small cylinder at the top was used for pre-DSO DTT muxes 1, 2, B & D. Muxes A & C used the main cylinder, being within band IV, the same as the analogue channels. |
Let's try from round here...The Ofcom data has DAB at 45m and the upper Band II array at 43m. So it's probably the dipole just below the cylinder? |
There's a "splodge" near the top of the main cylinder. Lightning damage? Impact from huge bird? |
