THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY
ARNCLIFFE WOOD
Photos by Martin Brown | Page last updated: 2021-08-20 |
Following the fire at Bilsdale on 10-Aug-2021 the BT site at Arncliffe Wood now has a temporary mast erected to restore UHF TV services to the areas around Darlington, Barnard Castle, Richmond, Leyburn, Catterick, Masham and Ripon. These pictures were taken during the morning of 20-Aug-2021 and transmissions commenced later in the day. |

These two satellite dishes will provide the programme feeds for the three PSB multiplexes. The two BBC muxes are on the Intelsat at 27.5° West. D3&4 on Astra 2. |
The antenna, which I understand is horizontally polarised, omni directional. This just needs lifting to the top of the mast. |
