LLANGOLLEN UHF

It was a nice mild Sunday November morning and as I hadn't been to nearby Llangollen in a few months, I thought I would take a short drive to the Horseshoe Falls car park and take a walk from there. It's been on my mind to take a visit to the UHF tower and this seemed like an ideal day. |
View is looking mostly north and north-northeast. |
The two transmit curved panel aerials have been replaced by a pair of 90 degree crossed log periodics. They were replaced in May 2018 in preparation for 700 MHz band clearance. The channel changes were implemented on 27-Feb-2019, with Llangollen UHF moving from channels 58/49/54 to 32/34/35. |
Just below the platform on the left are four toed-in log periodics used to receive the programme feed from Corwen. |
