| Came up here on a walk with a friend. The Wrekin has great views over the Shropshire plain, into Wolverhampton/Birmingham, the Malvern Hills and the Shropshire Hills, as well as further afield. Nothing much seems to have changed since the last photos, but hopefully some more photos for the gallery taken on a sunny day. |
| Ofcom has BBC and Wolverhampton and Shropshire DAB at 48m (interleaved with the FM antennas) but D1 and SDL at 45m - is that using the DAB antennas below the main array (facing towards us) or a misprint? [Ed]. Different tape measure used during the various installations? All four DAB multiplexes are transmitted from the band III antenna interleaved with the band II antenna. The lower band III antenna system is at 40m and used to transmit the West Midlands DAB multiplex which closed in 2013. The band II yagi at the bottom appears to be pointing towards Sutton Coldfield. [Ed]. This is probably used to receive National RDS data for Radio Shropshire. |
