New UHF receive aerial - March 2022

The twin UHF receive troughs have been replaced with a single panel type aerial due to the channel changes implement at Winter Hill for 700 MHz band clearance.

As expected, the UHF cylinder looks to be the original. Both analogue and digital TV channel allocations have always been in band IV at Lancaster.

Band III panel aerials which transmit all the DAB multiplexes according to Ofcom data. Note that there are only panels on 3 of the 4 sides resulting in a 22dB ERP reduction at 250 degrees.

Marconi circularly polarised band II panels transmitting Radio Lancashire.
