STANTON MOOR

Since Rob Shufflebotham visited Stanton Moor in 2012 there have been changes to the UHF receive aerials. The upper trough has been removed and a new panel aerial now resides just above the lower trough. This new panel aerial will have been required due to 700 MHz band clearance at the parent site, Waltham. |
This site still resides in a wooded area which presents a challenge getting an unobstructed picture. |
The new UHF receive panel aerial and the lower trough. At most of the earlier UHF relay stations which have 45m square towers, the trough Rx aerials are square to one of the tower faces. They were built with the appropriate orientation and that would have been the case at Stanton Moor when it was originally fed from Sutton Coldfield. |

The band III DAB transmit aerials. Ofcom Tx Parameters indicate that maximum radiation is at 120 and 330 degrees. So the pair of Yagis on the left of this picture will be those pointing at 120 degrees. |
Two tiers, each comprising three CSA band II, slant polarised, skeleton slot panels transmit all FM radio services. |
The wonky collinear is still present. |
In the nearby village of Stanton in Peak, this UHF Yagi and many others face north towards Emley Moor. |
