Perhaps the noteworthy points are that the station is immediately adjacent to the road, with no compound or fencing of any kind, and the equipment cabin has additional cables to hold it down, rather than just holding down bolts to a concrete pad. Bruernish was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 2-Dec-1983 to serve 200 people. Channel 4 was added on 5-Sep-1986.
