I noticed there were no pictures of Largs on MB21 which I thought a bit strange as it`s hardly difficult to get to. It all became clear when I discovered the transmitter is on the roof of a school, Largs Academy. You can actually see the aerials from the road but these days taking pictures of a school with pupils in it may arouse paranoia..... Fortunately I went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was devoid of children so I could not only take my pics but even get onto part of the grounds to get a better angle. Result !

Largs Academy; the transmitter is just visible on the highest roof.

Closer shot of Largs receive aerial (left) and transmit aerial (right). Largs TX and RX aerials are the opposite of most repeaters in that the TX aerial is horizontally polarised and the RX aerial is vertical. Since the latter is pointing in the direction of Rothesay I assume it's getting its signal from Black Hill via that TX.
