Alan has followed the trail of Black Country Radio (formerly known as The Bridge) - the community radio station for the southern Black Country area, including the towns of Stourbridge and Brierley Hill.
"According to Ofcom parameters, the station moved here in May 2012. The transmitter site used to be at a small tower block in Wollescote, but between the move from there to here, I believe the Tx was at a tower block in Brierley Hill. I'm not sure where that was, but that arrangement seemed to be from late 2010/early 2011 to May 2012.
I can understand why the station has moved Tx site multiple times - the Black Country is a notoriously hilly area, and with 102.5 being in between two high powered out of area ILR stations, a good transmitter site is paramount. The coverage around the TSA seems to be very good."
Editor's note: Ofcom data from late 2011 shows The Bridge at "Brierley Hill" SO918867 apparently using vertical polarisation from an omnidirectional antenna - this entry is dated 24 August 2010. Curiously the antenna height is shown as just 15 m above ground.
