September 2016

Gulshan Radio is the Asian community radio station for Wolverhampton, which launched on 29 January 2016.

Alan commented: "The sun was setting as I arrived here, but hopefully the photos should be OK for the gallery."

It certainly seems as though we have everything, thanks.

The aerial is 25 metres above ground, and the power is unusually (for community radio) 41 W.

Editor's note: the licenced ERP is 50 W - perhaps feeder loss means this hasn't been achieved in practice? The detailed parameters show maximum ERP just east of north, bearing 020, with a 4 dB reduction towards the south - due to the spacing between the dipole and its support

The link aerial points towards studios just under a mile away.

This site is now included in the Update List for the following reason:
Transmit now 2 tiers of circularly polarised aerials
