Comments: Rhondda Fach is a relay of Wenvoe (via Ferndale)

Hide historic services

This relay is in the southern area of the Rhonnda Fach where reception of the Ferndale relay is poor due to a bend in the valley. It transmits from two pairs of crossed log periodics, but reception of Wenvoe is difficult here, so it picks up it's feed from a single vertical log periodic on the Ferndale TX, itself a relay of Wenvoe.

It's a wonderful viewpoint; you can see for miles.

Rhondda Fach was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service on 27th September 1983.

The Ferndale relay is visible from the site.
