| If it wasn't for Mynydd Garthmaelwg then Wenvoe would probably shine quite nicely down the Ely Valley in south Wales, but it doesn't so Tonyrefail needs a relay. The main lobe comes from six vertical logs pointing nominally south at Thomastown and Tylcha Fach. There are also two vertical logs pointing north towards Tonyrefail itself, which is also variously served by fringe coverage from Porth and Rhondda. RX is a single horizontal log on Wenvoe. Originally an IBA landlord site, Tonyrefail entered service on 25th October 1983. |
