Hide historic services

2002

Situated at Coldean, north of Brighton, it takes its feed from the Whitehawk Hill transmitter.

In common with a number of sites in the SE of England this site has non-standard channel spacings due to the difficulty of allocating channels which will not conflict with French and European services. Although completed in the spring of 1990, it wasn't switched on until near the end of the year because of cross channel interference worries. (Though how transmissions of 0.04kW might interfere with any French services remains a puzzle!)

The year was 1990
