Newbury is a small fill in VHF relay for BBC network radio. Coverage is for the town itself, which lies on the boundary between the Oxford and Rowridge service areas.
The TX antennae are the vertically polarised dipoles at the top of the mast, which point roughly south west and north west towards the town of Newbury. The RX antenna is a log periodic on Oxford.
There is also an RX UHF antenna further up the mast, also pointing at Oxford - this is something of a mystery as there are no UHF services from this site! |
