Updated May 2015: now you see it...now you don't!

At the time of Rob's previous visit to this site the land immediately to the south, a former brick works, was being redeveloped for housing

Rutland FM still refers to their Stamford site as "East Casterton" but the NGR has been amended to reference the nearby "Stamford Old Quarry" which would seem to be a replacement. Meanwhile a BBC list of new DAB sites shows the new site name but the old NGR...

The broadcast array consisted of an end-fed vertical and separate horizontal antenna - see Stamford Old Quarry for a more detailed view

In May 2015, no tower and an empty compound. The site was located between the tree and the new house on the left. The outer gates have been removed and the inner gates left open

(The site had been vacated by the time Google Street View drove past in March 2009)

It's no wonder the site is alarmed, someone's ripped its tower out!

A quick glance across the fields and you can see another site. It looks strangely familiar..! It is also right next to where Rutland FM now put the NGR for East Casterton...
