Rusthall was originally built by the BBC to extend coverage of Radio Kent and entered service early in 1984 on 1602 kHz. A transmitter for INR 3 (Talk Radio) was added on 1053 kHz, for that stations May 1995 launch.

The band II Yagi points towards Wrotham and was used to provide the programme feed for Radio Kent. The UHF log periodic points towards Tunbridge Wells and may be an RBS arrangement for Talk Sport.
