Pictures taken in 1988 and March 2008

There are no broadcast services from this site but it was used as part of the BBC's SHF distribution of their PCM network radio distribution. It picked up the signal from Whipsnade and relayed it to a further site at Meriden en route from Swains Lane to Sutton Coldfield.

The site was active in 1988 when Martin took the top three photos, but the BBC 13 channel PCM distribution system was shortly to be made redundant. The site today is no longer used for broadcasting.








Ben Smith visited this site on a day of dreadful weather and it's clear that the old link tower and dishes have now been removed...
