...except there's no such thing as a digital ghost According to information released by Ofcom this was Self Help 459 and a transposer of Sudbury operating on channels 25, 28, 22, 58 and 61 - thus including Channel 5. The number of households served is given as 1000 and at 15W ERP this was one of the highest powered self-helps We believe the intention was to alleviate the variable reflections caused by cranes at the docks nearby. The self help was most likely designed to serve the housing just east of the A14 which seems to have been developed during the 1980s and was probably not covered by the Felixstowe relay The transmit antenna appears to have been two red panels (possibly similar to the type used at Blackpool FC) on the plant room above the entrance to Anzani House

This photo, from Keith Evans via Geograph, shows Anzani House in November 2006. The transmit panels are just visible as highlighted Photo Copyright Keith Evans and licensed for reuse under this Creative Commons Licence

This view is from a 2004 brochure (link below) - BT had vacated the top three floors and was offering "Flexible leases..." and "Generous incentives..."

In May 2015 Anzani House lies empty and abandoned - and the panels have gone. They were still in place when the Google Street View car passed in August 2011 - see link below
